Aldosterone causes the distal convoluted tubules to increase the rate at which sodium ions are reabsorbed and potassium and hydrogen ions are secreted.  Chloride ions will move with the sodium ions because they are attracted to the positive charge of the sodium ions. Water will also move along with sodium.
